I wanted to use some space on this site to throw attention at a really cool project. Just to clarify, I have no affiliation with this project or the people behind it, beyond being an end user and something of a lurker on their Discord community. That said, resurrecting online multiplayer for games which have had their support long-killed off is one of my favourite types of projects on the web, and this one has an engaging and active community to boot.

The Antigravity Racing Foundation provides infrastructure which reimplements online play for WipEout HD and WipEout Pulse, and re-adds some functionality to other titles in the AG-racing genre. If you even remotely enjoy AG-racers or are thinking of getting into the scene, the AGRF online community is a great platform to jump on. Setup for their utilities is quite straightforward, and support can be found on the community's Discord if trouble is encountered.

If you haven't played a WipEout game, Pulse or HD/Fury are great starting points. I'm more partial to Pulse myself, the more limited PSP graphics are well and truly made up for by the track selection, and physical copies of the game can be found pretty cheap on the secondhand market. Personally, I find the visual language of Pulse to be much less busy and smeared with motion blur than HD/Fury and the later Omega Collection, but I wouldn't call that a particularly popular opinion.

The AGRF website contains all the relevant documentation for getting your copy back online and racing, and their Discord community can be found there as well.
